Position Overview

This position involves executing both standard and advanced diagnostic radiology imaging tasks while prioritizing patient safety, ensuring high-quality images, and adhering to departmental guidelines. Additionally, the role encompasses mentoring junior personnel, training clinical team members, supporting everyday operations, and engaging in professional growth and hospital projects.

Main Duties
  • Conduct both routine and intricate imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, adhering to established protocols, and maintaining high standards of image quality and radiation safety (ALARA).
  • Evaluate and assist patients and their families, customizing care to meet individual requirements and fostering a positive, informed experience.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff, including fellows, residents, students, and less experienced technologists in imaging methodologies and departmental practices.
  • Assist with daily operations and equipment upkeep, including troubleshooting issues, managing supplies, and participating in quality assurance initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development and hospital projects, keeping abreast of regulations and actively participating in team meetings, compliance activities, and values-driven practices.
Essential Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.

Licenses/Certifications

  • A valid MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification are mandatory.
  • BLS certification is also required.
