Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for various acute care units at our facility. This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus and comes with robust benefits, including an enhanced 403B plan and comprehensive medical coverage. Role of the RN Clinical Nurse

The RN Clinical Nurse plays an essential role as part of an interdisciplinary team, which includes both licensed and unlicensed caregivers. This team ensures that patients, their families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. The clinical environment is overseen by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our Shared Governance Model. Our practice framework is guided by the Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. RN competencies are aligned with these models and are reinforced by our core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practices defined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. They must implement the Scope of Practice and the Code of Ethics Standards established by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, RNs are expected to advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and striving for service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
  • Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver clinical care based on evidence-based practices, ensuring individualized care and effective coordination.
  • Provide patient-centered care that respects population-specific characteristics (e.g., age, gender, disease) and cultural diversity.
  • Engage with patients and their significant others through appropriate communication methods, keeping them informed and focused on their care goals.
  • Adhere to current clinical practice standards.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care while promoting a professional care delivery model.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner that encourages recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, engaging all stakeholders and promoting research utilization to enhance patient care quality.
• Professional Development and Initiative:
  • Complete all required professional competency assessments and ongoing education.
  • Act as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce and foster a healthy work environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
  • Encourage evidence-based practices and nursing research, participating in value analysis for patient care products.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and clinical competencies, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation standards.
  • Engage in data collection and consult experts to address clinical practice questions.
• Resources and Support:
  • Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and the healthcare team.
  • Support the efficient use of human and material resources.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing school is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (Single State) upon hire is required.
  • RN - Multi-state Compact upon hire is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • BLS Instructor certification is required.
  • BLS Provisional certification is required.
• Experience:
  • Less than 1 year of experience after completing an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Direct patient care experience is preferred.
