Pharmacy Technician - Detroit, Michigan

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for a dynamic role supporting medication management and distribution in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. This opportunity involves a contract assignment based in Eastpointe, Michigan, running from ASAP through the end of the year, with potential to extend. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, utilizing the Frameworks software system (no prior experience with this system is required, as quick learners are welcome).

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and label prescriptions, including long-term care (LTC) packaging such as multi-dose punch cards and pouch packaging
• Operate packaging equipment to complete production runs efficiently and according to schedule
• Manage cycle medication exchanges by checking in and reconciling returns from facilities
• Process returned medications, including applying credits as appropriate
• Receive wholesaler orders daily, stock and rotate shelves, and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Pull products, scan National Drug Codes (NDCs), and prepare completed orders for final pharmacist verification
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active, and clear Pharmacy Technician license valid in the state of Michigan
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Experience in a closed-door pharmacy or LTC setting is preferred but not mandatory
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is a plus but not required
• Ability to adapt to new software systems and work environments quickly
