Job Description

The position is based at a junior/senior high school, where you'll work closely with students, families, and a collaborative team to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance requirements
- Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in the resource room to middle school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and district policies
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development activities
- Foster a safe, positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
