\nMedical Director, Academic Outpatient Clinic
\nSt. Vincents Medical Center (SVMC) is a 520-bed tertiary academic hospital providing care in all clinical disciplines with a regional reputation for excellence in care and education. Located in desirable Fairfield County, SVMC is a member of Hartford HealthCare, the largest and most integrated health system in Connecticut and one of the largest employers in the state. Affiliated with the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, SVMC has an extremely strong clinical and educational culture. We seek a Medical Director to work with our FQHC partner to maximize efficiency and lead an Academic Outpatient Clinic. This position affords an academic physician and clinically active leader the opportunity to guide the outpatient ambulatory curriculum, provide faculty oversight, and support a stimulating environment for residents and students and provide exposure to scholarly activity.
\nReporting to the Chair of Medicine, responsibilities include teaching residents, medical students, and other learners, oversight of clinic faculty attendings, coordination of Resident evaluations in the clinic, and maintaining PCP assignments.
\nSVMC/HHC is the primary educational partner for the Frank H Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University and is an integral part of the educational mission of their UME and GME programs. The QU School of Medicine's Internal Medicine Residency trains 30 categorical residents and another 6 preliminary residents. SVMC is also the largest teaching site for undergraduate medical education in the School of Medicine.

MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine

Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)

Minimum of five years of academic experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Must be eligible for appointment to the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University
