Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support the establishment of a new pharmacy permit in Illinois (IL) and Massachusetts (MA). This critical role involves serving as the designated PIC, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements to obtain the necessary Non-Resident Pharmacy License (NRL). The position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist licensed in California (CA), IL, or MA who is willing to temporarily assume the PIC role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as Pharmacist in Charge to support regulatory compliance and permit acquisition
  • Overseeing pharmacy operations in specialty compounding environments
  • Coordinating with onsite staff to maintain professional standards and quality assurance
  • Ensuring adherence to state pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license in CA, IL, or MA (required)
  • Willingness to serve as Pharmacist in Charge and hang license accordingly
  • Previous experience in specialty compounding pharmacy settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of state regulatory requirements for pharmacy licensing
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and leadership skills

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located in Anaheim, CA, or Dublin, OH based on licensure and assignment
  • Hours vary by licensure:
    • CA licensed: 30 hours/week onsite in California Specialty Pharmacy
    • MA/OH licensed: 30 hours/week onsite in Dublin, OH
    • OH/IL licensed: 8 hours/week onsite in Dublin, OH
  • Shift hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Duration: 13 weeks contract
