Job Summary
We are seeking a CAD Drafter for a contract opportunity in Hauppauge, NY supporting construction-related drawing work within an industrial facilities, infrastructure, and life-safety environment. This onsite role is a strong fit for a detail-oriented drafting professional with AutoCAD experience who enjoys creating accurate floor plans, revising construction drawings, and supporting project teams.
This is a great opportunity to build experience in the fire protection and life-safety industry while working with knowledgeable teams in a stable, project-driven environment. The role offers exposure to construction, electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, and fire/life-safety drafting work, making it an excellent path for someone looking to grow a long-term CAD drafting career.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and revise AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, and construction documentation.
- Support drafting needs for construction, electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, or fire/life-safety projects.
- Review project markups, field notes, and redlines to ensure accurate drawing revisions.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation according to project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal project teams to clarify drawing details and meet drafting deadlines.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, clean, consistent, and aligned with project specifications.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $25 to $27 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Duration: 6 months.
- Location: Hauppauge, NY 11788.
- Work arrangement: Onsite.
