Position: Medical Assistant – Internal Medicine of ChesterfieldJob Overview:

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in our team, collaborating closely with primary care physicians to provide exceptional patient care to our community. This role ensures that services are delivered in accordance with the Medical Assisting scope and state regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating health records, taking vital signs, and preparing examination rooms for patient visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by welcoming patients and community members with respect.
  • Prepare and review patient charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and medical records are accurate and current.
  • Measure vital signs, including pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height.
  • Perform clerical tasks related to the department, such as managing inventory, tracking supplies, handling referrals, and answering phones as necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (mandatory at hire for specific locations; preferred at hire, required before independent patient care at others).
  • Experience:
    • One year of experience as a medical assistant in healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, basic computer proficiency, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage professionally with both staff and patients.
Compensation Range:

Minimum: $19.03
Maximum: $28.54
