Teacher of the Visually Impaired in San Bernardino, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Active teaching credential or license required for the role

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and administrators
• Ability to adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in academic subjects for students with visual impairments, both individually and in groups
• Assess students’ educational and adaptive needs, setting measurable goals and documenting progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other service providers to ensure inclusive learning experiences
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines
• Provide training and resources to staff and families on techniques and tools that support students’ independence
