At Hermansen Elementary, the position centers on the Structured Teaching and Learning Rooms (STLR), a self-contained program designed for students with Autism and functional communication challenges. The caseload is capped at 10-13 students, ensuring you can provide focused, individualized support. At Martinez Middle School, you’ll serve as a co-teacher for Supported Education with a caseload of up to 13 students, collaborating alongside fellow educators to facilitate meaningful learning experiences.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified Special Education Teacher with applicable state licensure
• Experience supporting students with Autism or significant communication needs preferred
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative teamwork
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning profiles in both self-contained and co-teaching models

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
• Track student progress and maintain precise documentation
• Engage with families and related service providers to maximize student growth
