Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid state certification in Special Education Teaching
- Experience in SEAL and/or PALS programs preferred
- Proven ability to manage and instruct in a self-contained classroom
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff and families
- Flexibility in approach to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students in self-contained special education settings
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Implement SEAL and/or PALS program requirements as outlined by the school
- Track and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings as needed
- Coordinate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Cultivate a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to learning
