What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working in special education, preferably with students exhibiting emotional and behavioral disorders
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with school staff, specialists, and families to support individual education plans
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational atmosphere
- Willingness to actively engage with STEM-focused curriculum and collaborative learning methods
Your Role:
- Serve as the primary teacher for students in a center-based Emotional Behavior Disorder classroom
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Use positive behavioral interventions and supports to enhance student engagement
- Foster an inclusive, safe classroom culture that encourages academic and social growth
- Collaborate with fellow staff in a specialty school environment incorporating Project Lead the Way Launch, mathematics, and science lessons
- Communicate regularly with families, specialists, and support staff regarding progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all special education requirements
