Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-Based Special Education Teacher. What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience working in special education, preferably with students exhibiting emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff, specialists, and families to support individual education plans
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational atmosphere
  • Willingness to actively engage with STEM-focused curriculum and collaborative learning methods

Your Role:

  • Serve as the primary teacher for students in a center-based Emotional Behavior Disorder classroom
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Use positive behavioral interventions and supports to enhance student engagement
  • Foster an inclusive, safe classroom culture that encourages academic and social growth
  • Collaborate with fellow staff in a specialty school environment incorporating Project Lead the Way Launch, mathematics, and science lessons
  • Communicate regularly with families, specialists, and support staff regarding progress and strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all special education requirements
