Qualifications & Experience:
- Active New Mexico state Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) teacher certification
- Open to both Clinical Fellows (CF) and those with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs)
- Experience or interest in working with elementary and secondary age students
- Strong commitment to fostering communication and social skills in a school setting
- Comfortable managing caseloads of approximately 40-50 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to set goals and monitor progress
- Offer direct therapy as well as consultative support within classrooms
- Maintain accurate records, comply with reporting requirements, and stay up-to-date with best practices and regulations
