Special Education Teacher | Magnolia, Texas

Step into a rewarding role supporting student success as a contract Special Education Teacher working with a third-grade Life Skills student in a homebound setting. This position is based onsite and offers an immediate start, with services continuing through the extended school year and into the full academic year starting August 12th, 2026, concluding May 22nd, 2027. The role involves providing individualized instruction and compensatory services, totaling six hours per week: four hours dedicated to instructional support and two hours focused on providing compensatory education.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification
• Strong experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in a life skills or homebound environment
• Ability to develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet IEP goals
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and support teams
• Understanding of instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Commitment to maintaining a supportive, inclusive environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver six hours per week of homebound instructional and compensatory services to a third-grade student with unique learning needs
• Track student progress and document achievement toward IEP objectives
• Coordinate educational plans with parents and school-based teams
• Provide clear, consistent feedback and adapt teaching strategies as needed
• Ensure all required documentation and reporting is completed in a timely manner
