Multiple full-time, contract positions are available across various district-wide sites serving diverse learners in specialized programs. Whether your expertise lies in conducting assessments, guiding students with behavioral needs in therapeutic settings, or supporting elementary students in ASD center-based classrooms, your dedication will be integral in fostering inclusive and effective educational experiences.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Active Minnesota PELSB Special Education teaching license (or eligibility for licensure via reciprocity)
  • Proficiency in developing, managing, and implementing IEPs
  • Solid understanding of IDEA, Minnesota special education compliance, and case management protocols
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Preferred licensure in ABS, ASD, EBD, DD, or LD
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following: Special education assessments; Setting III/IV therapeutic classrooms; Autism Spectrum Disorder educational environments; Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs); PBIS or MTSS; Case management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to student needs and goals
  • Conduct thorough assessments and participate in eligibility meetings
  • Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams, general education staff, and families
  • Apply trauma-informed approaches and positive behavior interventions
  • Maintain detailed progress monitoring and documentation for compliance
  • Create nurturing classroom environments that encourage student growth and participation
