Our organization is excited to announce an opening for a Vice Chair within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as we enhance our Women's Health services across the health system. This position is based in Staten Island, where we are committed to providing exceptional care.
Established in 1861, our Staten Island facility is a 714-bed specialized teaching hospital situated in one of New York City's most rapidly developing boroughs. Clinical Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive patient care in Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, Emergency Department, inpatient consultations, and the operating room, managing both high-risk and routine obstetric and gynecological cases.
- Serve as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response Team.
- Act as the Safety Officer to ensure adherence to departmental evidence-based protocols and maintain quality metrics.
- Collaborate effectively with residents, Advanced Care Practitioners, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of the obstetrics and gynecology curriculum for graduate medical education.
- Supervise and mentor residents and medical students during their clinical rotations.
- Engage in Quality Improvement and Safety Initiatives, including simulations.
- Participate in departmental, academic, and hospital committees.
