Occupational Therapist School Setting in Southport, NC

Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting students across a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. Starting August 18, 2026, and running through June 9, 2027, this contract position offers the chance to positively impact students from elementary through high school. You'll manage a varied caseload spread across 2-4 schools, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while fostering the growth and independence of students with diverse needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) for the state
• Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children and adolescents
• Ability to manage a flexible caseload across multiple campuses
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with varying needs
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for evaluations, progress notes, and IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student learning and participation
• Contribute to teams and school initiatives
