Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential/certification
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement), with preference for education-related fields
- Prior experience working with students in resource rooms or special education settings
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs, conducting assessments, and tracking student progress
- Collaborative, flexible mindset and effective communication skills with students, parents, and team members
- Experience or confidence working with varying disabilities and adapting instruction as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized lesson plans and modify curriculum based on student needs
- Deliver engaging instruction for students with varied abilities in resource room environments
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress toward IEP goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all learners feel supported
- Communicate with families regarding student successes and challenges
