Special Education Teacher - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher interested in a contract position serving young learners in community preschools around the Philadelphia, PA area. Work as an itinerant teacher supporting approximately 30 preschool-aged students across multiple locations, ensuring each receives tailored intervention and education services during their developmental years.

This role features a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week. Desired Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education required (emergency permits not accepted)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education preferred
• Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and visit multiple preschool settings throughout the week
• Strong collaboration skills with preschool staff, families, and therapists
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to preschool students according to their IEPs
• Travel between community preschools within the area to deliver direct services
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to address student needs
• Participate in trainings and follow provided guidance to ensure best practices
