Make a difference in the lives of students by providing vital educational support in our structured special education settings. This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to work on a dedicated team, serving students with Autism and functional communication needs at the elementary level, or supporting inclusive education through co-teaching at the middle school level.

Openings are available in a self-contained Structured Teaching and Learning Room for elementary-aged students, as well as a co-teacher role at the middle school. Both positions are designed to ensure manageable caseloads and supportive environments.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students with Autism and/or communication needs
  • Familiarity with structured teaching models or inclusive co-teaching approaches
  • Collaborative attitude and desire to work closely with colleagues, therapists, and families
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons and strategies for individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to meet diverse needs
  • Support students’ development of communication, academic, and social-emotional skills
  • Implement structured teaching practices and accommodations as appropriate
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate progress monitoring and data collection
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and help shape goal-oriented plans
