Key Qualifications:
- Valid credential in Special Education or eligibility for mild/moderate authorization in California
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to write and implement individualized plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with families, general education staff, and support personnel
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Flexibility, creativity, and a positive attitude
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for a caseload of elementary students
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students on-site, adapting lessons as necessary
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to promote student success
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, progress reports, and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Support students in developing self-advocacy, academic, and social-emotional skills
- Engage regularly with parents/guardians to communicate progress and develop strategies for continued growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
