The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Anesthesiology Department is seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidate to join our growing team in beautiful Culpeper, Virginia. \nIdeal candidate:

- Call taking anesthesiologist who has experience with labor and delivery as well as basic general surgery and spine cases \n
- Experience or interest in a rural practice and enjoys living in a smaller town \n
- Subspecialty training is a bonus, but not required \n

Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care \n
- Basic peripheral nerve blocks \n
- Participates in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation \n
- Medical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) \n
- Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care \n
- Implements monitors and adjusts patients physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patients needs \n
- Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety \n
- Supports operating room procedures \n
- Participates in additional areas of responsibility \n
- Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others \n
- Call is taken mostly from home "pager call" \n

The base compensation range for this role is $469,981 - $596,311 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status. Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
