Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success for the 2025-2026 school year as a full-time Behavior Intervention Specialist. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across multiple school sites in the Anoka-Hennepin area, collaborating alongside another experienced BIS and a Special Education Administrator. Working primarily onsite, you’ll apply your expertise to foster positive, inclusive learning environments and directly contribute to creating programs that help students thrive.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or licensed Special Education Teacher (Tier 3 or 4 required for SpEd Teachers)
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based behavioral intervention and support preferred
  • Strong background in conducting functional behavior assessments and creating intervention plans
  • Adept at applying de-escalation techniques and implementing positive behavior supports
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work across 3-4 different school sites as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult and implement positive behavioral interventions and supports for students across multiple school buildings
  • Collaborate closely with teams to develop and maintain appropriate programming and a positive work environment
  • Conduct detailed functional behavior assessments and contribute to individualized education plans
  • Provide staff training and support regarding behavior recommendations and specific techniques
  • Respond effectively during crisis situations and employ restrictive procedures when necessary for student safety
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines as well as board policies
  • Utilize data to inform and adjust programming decisions, striving for optimal student outcomes
