HR Coordinator
Job Description
CoWorx is seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources operations at a busy site location in the Saco, ME area!
This role is ideal for an administrative professional with HR experience who enjoys working with employees, maintaining accurate records, and supporting recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee communications.
Job Type: Temp to hire, full time[rb] Day Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee records and process HRIS updates, including new hires, status changes, and terminations.
- Conduct payroll and timesheet audits to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate background checks and pre-employment screenings.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Support employee benefit, address, and status change documentation.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training activities.
- Generate and maintain employee, labor, and operational reports.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR processes and policies.
- Communicate company announcements, policy updates, and other employee communications.
- Coordinate vendor requests for office supplies, equipment, and temporary staffing support.
- Support additional HR and administrative projects as needed. [/l]
Desired Background/Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience; HR experience preferred.
- Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Positive attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
