\nSome highlights of this opportunity include:
\nA Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with the guidance of a Medical Doctor.
\nTheir duties include prescribing medications, recording patient vital signs, and monitoring diagnostic tests to determine the source of the patients symptoms for workers compensation; and determining physical clearances based on employment requirements.
\nProvide high quality professional clinical physician services as a licensed individual with clinical services in the Occupational Health setting.
\nExperienced in occupational health practices (CME qualifications, drug testing protocols, DOT and non-DOT regulations)
\nPerform evaluation of injuries and occupational standards.
\nProvide appropriate guidance, support and monitoring of PAs and other clinical staff.
\nCompletes charts, EMR documentation and all related medical records in a timely manner.
\nPerforms other related duties as required.
\nKnowledgeable in state and federal regulations, OSHA, HIPAA, and others

Advanced Practitioner Requirements
\nGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/PA program
\nLicensed as a Nurse Practitioner/PA in the state of Connecticut.
\nExperience in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Hospitalist, ER, Urgent Care and Orthopedics a plus.
\nCT Controlled Substance Registration and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification
