Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PC Board Designer for an onsite contract opportunity in Poway, CA, supporting complex PCB design and development within an advanced aerospace and defense engineering environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented PCB design professional who enjoys working on high-complexity electronic designs, collaborating with engineering teams, and contributing to technically challenging projects.
This opportunity offers a stable first-shift schedule, a 9/80 work arrangement, and the potential to convert to a long-term direct-hire role. Candidates can expect a collaborative team environment with supportive technical leadership, clear project expectations, and the opportunity to apply specialized PCB design expertise on meaningful engineering work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design complex PCB layouts, schematics, drawings, and related documentation for advanced electronic systems.
- Use PADS Power PCB and PADS Power Logic to develop accurate, manufacturable board designs.
- Ensure PCB designs comply with applicable IPC standards and ANSI Y4.15 requirements.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical teams, manufacturing personnel, and PCB vendors to resolve design and production issues.
- Support troubleshooting of basic electronic assemblies and perform soldering tasks as needed.
- Work independently on assigned design activities while supporting complex project timelines and technical deliverables.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $50 to $60 per hour.
- Job type: 6-month contract with temp-to-perm opportunity.
- Schedule: 1st shift, 9/80 schedule.
- Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility.
- Work location: Onsite in Poway, CA.
