Pharmacy Technician - Fort White, Florida

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for a Certified Pharmacy Technician eager to contribute expertise in sterile compounding within a dynamic pharmacy setting. Based in Fort White, FL, this contract-to-hire position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, providing support to infusion and specialty pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile compounded medications under licensed pharmacist supervision, adhering strictly to USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
• Maintain aseptic technique and cleanroom protocols to ensure medication safety and quality.
• Perform pharmacy calculations and accurately prepare compounded products for infusion therapy.
• Assist with labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion medications while maintaining comprehensive compounding logs and quality assurance documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, facilitate ordering and receiving of medications and supplies, and support product rotation and expiration date monitoring.
• Maintain cleanroom equipment and assist with environmental monitoring to uphold regulatory compliance.
• Support medication order processing and prescription fulfillment in collaboration with pharmacists.
• Ensure compliance with State Board regulations, DEA requirements, OSHA standards, and company policies.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional training.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred.
• At least one year of experience in sterile compounding, home infusion, hospital, or oncology pharmacy.
• Solid understanding of sterile compounding principles, USP <797> and <800> guidelines, and aseptic technique.
• Proficiency in pharmacy calculations, documentation, and pharmacy management systems.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
