Job Description
Step into a meaningful role supporting student achievement and classroom harmony as a Paraprofessional for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position located near San Francisco, you will play a vital part in fostering student development and building a welcoming, inclusive learning space. Collaborate closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams, making a direct impact as you guide students through daily activities and provide essential academic and social-emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Assist educators with instructional delivery, work with small groups, and provide personalized assistance to individual students.
- Student Assistance: Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs to help them succeed each day.
- Instructional Preparation: Prepare classroom materials, organize engaging learning activities, and reinforce teachers’ lesson plans.
- Supervision Duties: Monitor students during class transitions, lunch, recess, and other periods outside of instructional time.
- Collaboration: Engage as an active member of the educational team, contributing insights to enhance overall student outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- At least 48 completed college semester units OR an Associate’s degree (AA/AS)
- Successful completion of background and fingerprint clearance
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to student-centered learning
