Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract position providing speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students. This role offers the opportunity to support young learners at a key stage in their educational journey, covering a maternity leave at a welcoming school environment near Woodstock, GA. You’ll play an integral part in helping children aged 5-11 develop crucial communication skills, collaborating closely with teachers and support staff to deliver individualized and group services.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, active SLP license in Georgia
- GaPSC SLP Educator Certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students on a full-time basis (37.5 hours/week) throughout the duration of the assignment
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain accurate records according to state and school guidelines
- Consult with educators and families to support student success and carry over therapy strategies
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and culturally responsive approaches in all services
- Adjust and tailor therapy plans based on each child’s unique needs
