Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Connecticut School Psychologist License (required)
  • Previous experience assessing and counseling school-aged children
  • Strong skills in psycho-educational evaluations, crisis intervention, and special education processes
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Adaptability and organizational strengths to manage caseloads effectively

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct mental health support, counseling, and consultative services to students
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for special education eligibility, including FBA/BIP development
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) and related meetings
  • Support crisis response efforts and foster positive school climates
  • Serve as an advocate for student well-being and academic success
