Become the Nursing Staffing Coordinator You Aspire to Be
- Collaborate with nursing leaders to identify enhancements in the efficiency of nursing department staffing.
- Assist and provide guidance to supervisors regarding any issues with the nursing schedule.
- Ensure compliance of employee, contract, and student files with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate educational opportunities for nursing staff.
- Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, schedule and inform nursing staff of their assigned shifts.
- Distribute the nursing schedule promptly.
- Notify supervisors of any staffing ratio concerns.
- Draft professional letters, emails, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding employee personal and financial information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in staffing or scheduling within a hospital environment is preferred.
