This flexible opportunity, located near Clifton Park, NY, runs from as soon as possible through the end of the current school year and allows for a hybrid or virtual work environment, providing you with the balance that fits your life.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting
  • Comfortable providing instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse communication needs
  • Ability to adapt and individualize educational materials for optimal student success
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
  • Tech-savvy and open to virtual learning platforms and hybrid teaching models

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative educational services to K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to meet students’ needs
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and communicate regularly with families and school personnel
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of services
