This full-time contract opportunity begins mid-August and extends through early June 2027, providing ample time to build meaningful connections and make a lasting impact. You’ll primarily work with elementary-age students, while also engaging with middle schoolers, offering variety and opportunities for professional growth.

As part of a collaborative team of educators and specialists, your expertise and compassionate approach will help foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll deliver instruction, manage IEPs, and work closely with families and colleagues to ensure each student’s success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required
  • Experience or strong interest in serving elementary and middle school-age students
  • Familiarity with creating, updating, and implementing IEPs
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Strong classroom management abilities and flexibility to respond to student needs
  • Commitment to onsite work; remote or hybrid options are not available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students with a variety of learning needs
  • Develop and maintain effective, legally compliant IEPs in collaboration with team members
  • Use a variety of instructional techniques tailored to diverse learners
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
