  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • \n
  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • \n
  • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • \n
  • Every other weekend
  • \n
  • On-call PRN (as needed)

Position Summary:

\n

We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Sulphur Springs, TX. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and compliant preparation and dispensing of medications while providing clinical expertise and supporting pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, route of administration, potential drug interactions, geriatric considerations, warnings and precautions, potential adverse reactions, and medication stability.
  • \n
  • Ensure accurate medication dispensing and maintain all required documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
  • \n
  • Conduct audits of automated dispensing machines to ensure medication accuracy.
  • \n
  • Provide professional clinical expertise and respond to medication-related questions.
  • \n
  • Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with instructing, directing, and overseeing pharmacy technicians and other staff.
  • \n
  • Follow current guidelines and established procedures for preparing compounds, including IV therapy.
  • \n
  • Promote compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • \n
  • Participate in the development and successful implementation of improvement plans when indicated or required by management or regulatory/compliance personnel.
  • \n
  • Communicate progress toward goals, challenges, and ongoing obstacles to supervisors and management verbally and/or in writing.

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or PharmD .
  • \n
  • Current, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License .
  • \n
  • Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred.
  • \n
  • Experience with FrameworkLTC software preferred but not required.
  • \n
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • \n
