An exciting opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking a contract assignment in a supportive educational environment. This full-time role offers the chance to work on-site, primarily at one secondary school near Sugar Land, TX. While the preference is for a 37.5-hour workweek, there is flexibility to consider part-time (approximately 30 hours per week) for the right candidate. The position runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027.

You will serve a caseload averaging 80 students, with the possibility of floating to a second school if necessary. School site assignments are considered with your location in mind to minimize travel. Collaboration with educators and other professionals ensures optimal student support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid SLPA license in Texas
  • Experience in school-based settings, preferably secondary age groups
  • Ability to adapt and float between one or two sites as needed
  • Willingness to work full-time or part-time as scheduled
  • Successful completion of required state fingerprinting and a background check
  • Please indicate if you have previously worked at the district, and if you have ever been terminated from any school district (affidavit completion required)
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy support services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Maintain and document student progress as required
  • Collaborate with school staff and participate in team meetings
  • Support students across secondary grade levels, addressing their individual communication needs
  • Comply with all district policies and state regulations
