Job Description
Make a difference in the educational journey of students in grades K-12 by providing vital physical therapy services in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity invites experienced physical therapists who are passionate about fostering growth and independence in children and adolescents. The position serves a diverse student population and welcomes candidates interested in either on-site or virtual service delivery for the 2026/2027 school year.
Key Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist and eligibility to practice in the state
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal development
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with technology and virtual service platforms (for remote candidates)
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services for K-12 students as indicated on IEPs
- Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide regular updates to staff and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student mobility and independence in the classroom environment
- Adapt services for virtual delivery as needed
