We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join a supportive educational team in Flint, Michigan. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a professional who is passionate about promoting students' academic achievement, mental health, and overall well-being through collaboration, assessment, and intervention services.
Position Summary
The School Psychologist will provide a full range of psychological services to students, educators, and families. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school staff to support student success through evaluation, consultation, counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis response.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to support special education eligibility and educational planning.
- Interpret assessment results and present findings to multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Support students through individual and group counseling services as appropriate.
- Assist in crisis prevention, intervention, and response efforts.
- Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate services and supports.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Requirements
- Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or licensure.
- Knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with MTSS, RTI, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
