General Summary:
\nThe APP, under the supervision of Physicians, is responsible for:
\n- \n
- Performs physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses for pediatric patients. \n
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc. \n
- Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions \n
- Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed \n
- Collaborates with providers and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff \n
- Combination of outpatient in person visits as well as virtual visits \n
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth \n
Schedule Details:
\nPrimary Schedule:
\n- \n
- Monday - 8AM to 5PM \n
- Wednesday - 8 AM to 5PM \n
- Friday - 8AM to 4PM \n
Knowledge and Skills Required:
\n- \n
- Strong medical decision-making and communication skills \n

Education and Experience Required:
\n- \n
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies \n
- Minimum of 5 years pediatric experience \n
Licensure, Certification, and Registration Required:
\n- \n
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license \n
- ANCC, AANP, PNP-PC/AC, or NCCPA (or equivalent) certification \n
- Current BLS required \n
