Key Qualifications:

• Active or eligibility for NM RLD and NMPED licenses (assistance for those needing to obtain licensure available)
• Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, especially at the elementary and middle school level
• Knowledge of evidence-based OT/COTA practices in school settings
• Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to efficiently manage a caseload and adapt to varying student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students ages elementary through middle school
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and promote a positive learning environment
• Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
• Adapt therapy plans and interventions based on student responses and progress
