The role is designed on an as-needed basis covering multiple locations conveniently within a five-mile radius, providing variety in your workday and the ability to serve where you’re most needed.
You’ll collaborate closely with school teams to help create supportive, inclusive classrooms that foster every child’s growth during this upcoming school year, from August 31 to May 20.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching license or certification for the state of Ohio
- Experience working with preschool-age children preferred
- Solid understanding of cognitive delays and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility to travel between sites within a small local area
- Adaptable, compassionate, and collaborative approach with students and colleagues
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instructional support to preschool students with cognitive delays
- Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary support team to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and interventions
- Communicate with families and staff to support each child’s learning journey
- Serve at locations as needed for coverage and specialized support
