Make a real difference for students with special needs by serving as a Sign Language Interpreter for a contract role supporting a 5th-grade student in a Life Skills room. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 19, 2026, through June 2, 2027, with work hours from 7:20 am to 2:10 pm, Monday through Friday—totaling 35 hours per week.

As a dedicated professional, you’ll work one-on-one to facilitate communication and access to learning, empowering your student to actively engage in classroom activities. You will collaborate closely with teachers and other educational staff, interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa to support classroom instruction and social interactions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold a minimum 3.5 EIPA score or higher (required for this assignment)
  • Previous experience in educational settings as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred
  • Proficiency in ASL and interpreting in both group and individual environments
  • Familiarity with working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities
  • Compassion and patience to support student growth and classroom integration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one interpreting services supporting a 5th-grade student in a Life Skills classroom
