Job Description
Our 18-bed Medical-Surgical unit provides a dynamic and engaging atmosphere, catering to a diverse array of adult patients. This includes individuals with orthopedic requirements, those undergoing general and bariatric surgeries, patients needing cardiac/telemetry monitoring, and those with intricate medical issues. The typical RN-to-patient ratio is between 1:5–6, while Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) maintain a ratio of 1:6–9, fostering a collaborative and impactful approach to patient care.
Team members will acquire essential clinical skills, with numerous chances to perform IV insertions, assist in bedside procedures, deliver wound care, manage nasogastric tubes and chest drains, administer blood transfusions, and care for patients post-operation, including those with central lines and colostomies. Additionally, nurses and PCTs may have the opportunity to float to different departments within the hospital, enhancing their clinical experience and teamwork.
Position: Med Surg 3Type: PRN NightsKey ResponsibilitiesThe staff nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care to patients across all age groups, employing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role operates within the organization's policies and procedures, showcasing professional development and accountability. The staff nurse is tasked with upholding practice standards and coordinating the patient care activities of all assigned personnel to ensure high-quality nursing care.
Qualifications-
Minimum Education Required:
Completion of an accredited nursing program. -
Minimum Experience Required:
New graduates from nursing programs are welcome to apply. -
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required by Law:
A current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or an NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification is mandatory. -
Additional Qualifications:
Advanced certification in a relevant specialty is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is also preferred, along with nursing experience in a hospital environment.
