A full-time Pharmacy Manager opportunity is available in a retail setting located in Binghamton, NY. This direct hire role offers variable day and afternoon shifts, with approximately 62 hours bi-weekly. The position requires a dynamic leader capable of managing daily pharmacy operations, coaching staff, and collaborating closely with store operations to ensure excellent customer service and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster collaborative relationships with the store team and engage pharmacy associates by communicating department and company strategies.
- Oversee the accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal regulations.
- Manage the pharmacy department’s profitability and promote script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Collaborate with district management and staff to oversee inventory control and pharmaceutical stock ordering.
- Set and align performance goals according to key pharmacy metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide leadership through supervision, training, coaching, and discipline of pharmacists and support staff.
- Address and resolve customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
- Maintain pharmacy security and a clean, orderly department environment.
- Handle interactions with healthcare providers and reference resources to resolve prescription-related issues.
- Prioritize department tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Current New York State Pharmacist License.
- Previous experience managing retail pharmacy operations is preferred.
