Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy professional is needed to serve as the sole pharmacist at a retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy in Fort Meade, FL. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work independently in a focused, patient-centered environment with a manageable daily prescription volume of 20-30. The pharmacist will receive comprehensive training alongside the current PIC for two weeks before transitioning to full responsibility at the location.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all pharmacy operations independently, including dispensing, patient counseling, and documentation
- Provide exceptional patient care and support with a focus on HIV/AIDS medication management
- Maintain clear and timely communication with patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Participate in ongoing training and utilize provided support to enhance clinical skills
- Work Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Adhere to on-site policies, including strict no call-out (no RTO) during the contract period
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Documented experience with HIV/AIDS medications—critical for consideration
- Experience with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with patients and providers
- Reliable, punctual, and committed with a positive attitude toward patient care and teamwork
Contract Duration: Approximately 16 weeks
Start Date: August 24, with 2 weeks of training alongside the current pharmacist in Orlando
