School Occupational Therapist | Leland, North Carolina

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in an engaging school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year! This contract position offers a full-time schedule, with a minimum of 35 hours weekly and the flexibility to increase to 40 hours, beginning August 18, 2026, and concluding June 9, 2027. Make an impact by providing critical OT services across a dynamic range of school settings and age groups.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure
• Previous experience in school-based settings (elementary, middle, or high school) preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation best practices
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to move between 2-4 schools as needed
• Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills among diverse student populations

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions for students
• Monitor progress, collect relevant data, and appropriately update IEPs
• Provide direct OT services in accordance with student goals, district guidelines, and professional standards
• Consult with educators and parents to support student access to their educational programs
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all documentation requirements
• Contribute to team meetings and participate in collaborative problem-solving for student support
