This contract position is designed for a Special Education professional who is passionate about working with students in a classroom setting, with an emphasis on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. You’ll be part of the dedicated team for the 2026-2027 school year, working on site five days per week for partial days, making this a great fit for someone seeking a flexible, impactful role.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensure as a Special Education Teacher (will consider other relevant licensures)
  • Experience with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) preferred
  • Previous work in a school or classroom environment is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support for students with special needs, focusing on those with ASD
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student’s unique learning requirements
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to promote student growth and success
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and parent conferences as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
