Step into a meaningful contract role supporting students’ academic success and well-being as a school psychologist on site. This opportunity offers a balanced workload and a supportive environment, with a focus on comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and Child Find initiatives across up to two school locations (locations will be determined prior to the start date). The position serves a caseload of approximately 30–40 students, potentially spanning elementary, high school, or K-12, depending on district assignment.

You’ll collaborate closely with district leadership, who are committed to ensuring contractors have manageable caseloads and the support they need to thrive.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Missouri Department of Education (MO DOE) School Psychologist certification
  • Experience with student psychological assessments, evaluations, and report writing
  • Flexibility to work in either a K–12 or a specific grade-level setting (elementary or high school)
  • Understanding of and experience with Child Find processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Successful completion of required credentialing steps including drug screening and fingerprinting
  • Ability to work on-site during standard school hours, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments and evaluations in support of Child Find and student support mandates
  • Prepare thorough evaluation reports and maintain clear documentation compliant with district and state standards
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff for student-centered interventions and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable privacy, legal, and ethical standards

Enjoy the benefit of supportive leadership and predictable, reasonable workloads throughout the school year, with your assignment tentatively set to run from late August through late May.

If you have a passion for helping students realize their full potential, we encourage you to express your interest. Interviews are available most Fridays, but the district is flexible and can accommodate additional candidate availability. Submit your application today to be considered for this impactful position!
