Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting students' success across multiple learning environments. This district-wide position serves K-12 students in four school buildings, offering a dynamic and rewarding setting to make a lasting impact. This full-time contract position runs from late August through mid-June of the following year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont Occupational Therapy Certificate required
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school-based environment preferred
- Comfortable managing a district-wide caseload, collaborating across multiple sites
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to design and implement effective interventions for students with diverse needs
- Flexibility and organizational skills to adapt to varied schedules and school settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT assessment, intervention, and consultation services for K-12 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support to students, teachers, and families
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to ensure students have access to learning in the least restrictive environment
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work full-time (35-37.5 hours per week) on a set contract schedule from August 26 to June 14, engaging with students in a cohesive and supportive district environment.
