Responsibilities

Key Duties Include:

• Conducting patient evaluations and assessments.
• Administering general respiratory care procedures and protocols.
• Performing critical care procedures in adult care settings.
• Executing blood gas analyses.
• Overseeing the maintenance and management of all relevant equipment.
• Providing education to patients regarding their care.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements:
An Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.

Minimum Experience Required:
Prior experience in respiratory care or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including validation of skills and competencies for this role.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Must be registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care and hold a license from the State of Georgia through the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.

Additional Qualifications:
Current certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required. Candidates must actively practice and maintain all necessary competencies.
