Discover an exciting contract opportunity for paraprofessionals passionate about supporting students and making a difference in a school environment near Anoka, MN. This position begins September 8, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule—32.5 hours each week.

Multiple special education paraeducator roles are available in resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) center-based programming, and Ready Set LAUNCH center-based programming. When applying, please indicate your preference among resource, DCD, or LAUNCH assignments. Flexibility is essential, as assisting with toileting is a required duty for all support staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must meet the state’s “highly qualified” status by one of the following:
    • Passing the MN Para Educator Exam
    • Holding at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
  • Resume and proof of qualification are required for consideration
  • Willingness to assist with all personal care and support tasks, including toileting
  • Collaborative mindset to work alongside special education teachers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to start as a contract professional, with the intention to transition to direct district employment after 422 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students in assigned special education programs
  • Implement teacher-directed instructional activities
  • Monitor student progress and behavior
  • Assist with personal care needs
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
